英國大學

英國大學教育擁有數百年歷史，結合優良傳統及現代多元文化，以卓越研究和學術品質享譽全球，學歷在全世界均受認可及尊重。全英國共有大學百多所，學科選擇眾多，大部份學生均可修讀自己真正感興趣的學科！

位於英格蘭、北愛爾蘭和威爾斯三地的大學提供三年制學位課程。蘇格蘭地區的大學學位課程則為期 4 年。

 

課程特點

  • 九月開學。部份大學設有一月入學課程
  • 專業科目如醫科、藥劑學、建築學等，須多修讀 1-3 年
  • 部份大學提供三文治（Sandwich）課程，將課程延長 1 年，為學生提供實習或到海外交流的機會
  • 所有大學學位課程均可經英國大學聯招（UCAS）提交申請。為方便國際學生，部份大學亦接受學生透過升學中心提交申請

 

入學要求:

HKDSE 香港中學文憑學生 :  333333 ~ 5*55

英國 A level 學生:  CCC – A*AA

IB 學生:  26 ~ 38

副學士學生:  GPA2.0 – 3.6

高級文憑學生:  50% ~ 70%

部份大學更接受已完成副學士、文憑或高級文憑的學生豁免學分，直接入讀大學的第二年或第三年。

Russell Group

成立於1994年, 是一些具備最優秀的學術研究資源並與國際商界及公營機構有緊密聯繫的大學，也被稱為英國的菁英大學。 大部份的 「老牌大學和紅磚大學」是此組別的成員；此集團的大學是全世界產生諾貝爾獎得主最多的大學聯盟，有近300名諾貝爾獎得主出自該集團大學，其中僅劍橋、牛津、倫敦大學就產生了188名諾貝爾獎得主。 現時，此集團成員共有24所大學成員。以下是成員名單。

紅磚大學 Red Brick University 

指成立於二戰前維多利亞時代以紅磚為主建築的大學，以學生能力作入學標準，不需要考慮學生的宗教信仰和家庭背景


新大學New universities 

這類型大學有比較多非正式稱號，一般指成立於60年代或之後成立的大學，指當中由 1992 年前英國首相馬卓安, 通過法案由使理工學院升格成為大學
